npt4 support surface

NPT4™

Manufacturer: Agiliti/Sizewise

NPT4 introduces the latest advances in pressure redistribution foam support surfaces—with a microclimate pump, next-gen fabric technology and new CuPro™ copper-infused foam. The result is a hyper-responsive mattress which keeps patients cool, reduces and treats pressure injuries and stands up to the most demanding cleaning protocols. NPT4 is part of the Envy® line of support surfaces, which are made with materials that reduce chemicals of concern.

Controlling Patient Microclimate

Humidity and heat on the support surface/skin interface can create the perfect storm for pressure injuries. NPT4’s microclimate pump provides a continuous, head-to-heel layer of air—keeping the patient cool and dry.

1-in-2 Alternation

In addition to microclimate, NPT4's pump adds alternation and an extra level of adjustable, healing comfort. The support surface’s nine foam-filled air cells are cyclically offloaded—reducing the pressure in half of the cells every five minutes, and then alternating to the remaining cells.

Extreme Polycarbonate Top Cover

NPT4 is designed with an extreme polycarbonate fabric which supports CDC cleaning guidelines and offers a higher level of infection control and prevention.

Mattress Asset Protection (MAP) Liner™

For additional protection, NPT4 includes our industry-first Mattress Asset Protection (MAP) Liner™, a barrier that protects internal components from contamination—the ultimate patient safeguard.

Key Features

npt4 surface fabric layers

Our fabrics and construction make the difference. Multiple layers work together to manage the microclimate and reduce shear while creating a durable shield to withstand hospital cleaning protocols.

npt4 surface 3D mesh

As an added layer of technology, AirSpace™ 3D mesh maintains optimal airflow to keep the patient cool and dry.

close up of cu-pro support foam

NPT4 introduces CuPro™ copper-infused, thermoresponsive foam to our lineup. The foam breathes more freely, and the copper particles help dissipate heat more efficiently, keeping the patient cool while reacting to temperature and weight.

rf welded seam

Instead of needle-sewn construction, NPT4 is designed with radio-frequency welded seams, eliminating needle holes and providing a superior fluid barrier.

behavioral health mattress vents

Air is vented in and out of the mattress until equalization is reached; ensuring pressure equalization. This maximizes immersion and provides advanced pressure redistribution for all body types.

npt4 surface blower

A layer of air keeps the skin cool and dry, reducing pressure injuries. 1-in-2 alternation ensures that cells are offloaded 50% of the time—promoting comfort and healing.

Fight Pressure Injuries

Download the PI Staging Kit

A pressure ulcer/injury is localized damage to the skin and/or underlying soft tissue, usually over a bony prominence or related to a medical device. The injury can present as intact skin or an open ulcer and may be very painful. Learn to identify the stages of a pressure injury in both light and dark skin tones by accessing our Pressure Injury Staging Kit.
